In April 2013 Christine Hogan put out a call for musicians in Kinsale, and soon afterwards Kinsale's community orchestra, Kinsale Amateur Orchestral Society, aptly known as KAOS, was born.
Christine worked tirelessly gathering together players, instruments and sheet music, and she received great support from Ewen Tubridy (KAOS' first President). The orchestra continues to go from strength to strength, and is currently undertaking a feasibility study with a view to holding an amateur orchestra festival in two years time: 'KINSALE 2020'. |
